About Rev. Dr. Swan, Interfaith Chaplain

  • Rev. Dr. Sally Swan is an ordained Interfaith Minister through the Chaplaincy Institute, an interfaith seminary and community based in Berkeley, California and a Doctor of Ministry graduate from the Pacific School of Religion.

  • Rev. Swan serves as Chaplain with the Mendocino Coast Hospital in Fort Bragg since 2017 and coordinated the chaplaincy program at the Hospital for four years.  Chaplain Swan is in the process of certifying as Board Certified Chaplain through the Center for Spiritual Care and Pastoral Formation.

  • Sally is a Commissioned Lay Pastor with the Mendocino Presbyterian Church and the First Presbyterian Church of Fort Bragg, and she serves on the Presbytery Council of the Presbytery of the Redwoods.

  • Trained in critical incident stress management, Rev. Swan is a member of the North Coast Peer Support Team and supports individuals and groups during and after traumatic and critical events.  

  • Rev. Swan also provides blessings and memorials for pets and wild animals.  Sally's canine family member, Morro, is a certified therapy dog and often brings joy to staff and companionship to patients at the Hospital.
